The species has most com- monly been taken in the winter and spring months from October to May. Only two specimens come from outside this period (from Tucson in August). That they have not been taken in the hot summer months from June to September may reflect in- activity of collectors. Larvae are unknown. Distribution. The species ranges through the xeric regions of the western and south- western United States from southern Cali-.
