Measurements. Total length about 62 cm.; tail about equal tohead and body. Skull: greatest length, 61; basicranial length, 49;zygomatic breadth, 41; palatal lengfth, 23; length of upper molar series, I have not seen a specimen of this animal, and as Herr Lonnbergmakes no reference to any species with which it may be compared, itis difficult to assign it to its proper place in the gen
