Treatment by dipping is discussed at the end of this chapter. Leaf Scorch.—The fungus Stagonospora Curtisii sometimes causes a blighting of the foliage, starting at the tip and finally killing the entire leaf. This greatly weakens the plants. Spraying with bordeaux mixture helps to stop the spread of the disease.
