Rams will work with any fall from 18 inches up to 100 feet. It is not necessaryto have a vertical Water fall in a stream to work a Ram. If the stream has a fairly rapid flow the necessary fall can generallybe got by taking the driving water out of the stream at one point and returning it to the stream again some distance further
