A statue of legendary University of Texas football coach Darrell K Royal stands adorned with flowers at the south end of Royal-Memorial Stadium on the university campus in Austin, Texas. Royal, 88, who amassed a record of 167-47-5 and won three national championships at Texas, passed away of Alzheimer's disease on Nov. 7, 2012.
