The seafront of Vernazza, one of the cliff-hanging small fishing villages, many with coloured pastel buildings part of Cinque Terre, faces the Ligurian Sea in the Province of La Spezia on the northwest Italian coast of Italy. The five Cinque Terre villages are only accessible by rail or boat. Cinque Terre is listed in the UNESCO World Heritage list The other villages, a short distance along the coast are Monterosso al Mare, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore.
