Congada Festa do Rosário Rosario Religious Celebration Minas Gerais Brazil

Religious expression with the influence of pagan beliefs and African elements combined with the Roman Catholic faith. Tribute to Our Lady of the Rosary ( Nossa Senhora do Rosário ), whose devotion was largely disseminated among Brazilian slaves during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. The festival is accompanied by the reigns of the Congo, called congadas, which are also a demonstration of effervescent fusion of the religious syncretism of religions from Africa to meet the Catholic worship.
