Regiments were continually moved fromone part of the line to the camps near City Point to recuperate, while fresh troops were brought up from that base to take their John Grubb Park commanded the Ninth Corps, and it was this body of Federal troops that atlvanced from behindFort Sedgwick and, supported by its guns, seized the Confederate entrenchments opposite in an assault made on ,\pril 2, 1865.
