Teichmueller, Minnich, Lichtheim, in Ger-many, Russell, Batten, Collier, in England, Dana, Putnam, Biggs, andBillings, in this country, among many others, have not only confirmedNonnes findings, but broadened the general field of known degenerativeconditions secondary to depraved physical states. The consensus ofopinion now seems to be that the cord changes are due to a toxic process
