The Ababda aka العبابدة,العبّادي, Abābdah or Al-ʿabbādī are an ethnic group, originally nomadic, who lived in eastern Egypt and the Sudan, originally to be found in the regions between the river Nile and the Red Sea. Though once speaking only Beja they now consider themselves Arab and speak Arabic .
