A glasseye snapper (Heteropriacanthus cruentatus) tries to hide under a ledge in the City of Washington wreck. The nocturnal fish is native to the tropical Western Atlantic Ocean, and typically hides durig the day. Like many other fish active at night, the glasseye snapper is red, a color difficult to impossible to see at night.
