The Royal Mausoleum of Mauretania is a funerary monument built in 3BC by the King of Mauretania, Juba II, and his wife Queen Cleopatra Selene II, daughter of Queen Cleopatra VII of Egypt and Roman Marc Antony. The Mausoleum was built entirely of stone in a circular form, standing about 130 feet (40 meters) high. Owing to vandalism and poor maintenance, this important archaeological site has been placed on the List of World Heritage Sites in Danger, Tipaza Province, Algeria.
