Inthe year 1807 it obtained a regular min-ister in James Bulpit, who came fromNewfoundland; and he was followed byseveral able and zealous preachers. CapeBreton, another portion of the lowerprovinces, lying contiguous to NovaScotia, received its first permanent min-ister in 1829, in the person of MatthewCranswick, an eloquent preacher andattractive Christian.
