Proboscis fully developed; palpi obliquely porrect, slender, the 2nd joint extending about one and a half times length of head and fi-inged with hair above at extremity, the 3rd joint short; frons smooth; eyes large, round ; antennte of male annulate ; head and thorax clothed with scales and without crests; fore cosffi with tufts of long hair; fore and hind tibire witli tufts of hair at extremity, hind tibiee with slight fringe of hair below before the medial spvirs ; abdomen with dorsal crest at base only. Fore wing triangular, the apes somewhat acute, the termen crenulate; vein 3 from before angle of cell; 4, 5 from angle; 6 from upper angle ; 7, 8, 9 stalked ; 10, 11 from cell. Hind wing with the termen crenulate; veins 3, 4 from angle of cell; 5 from above angle; 6, 7 from upper angle ; 8 anastomosing with the cell near base only. *5389. Hypobleta cymaea. S • Head and thorax ochreous white ; palpi black at sides ; the hair on fore coxae and fore and mid tibiae fuscous; abdomen ochreous white with fuscous dorsal bands at middle and dorsal spots on terminal segments. Fore wing ochreous white irrorated with brown and black ; a black point in middle of cell and slight.
