Stand a little in frontand left of the head, bring the cord through the mouth andpass it over the head where the halter rests, pulling downgently; thence through the mouth again and hold firmlywith the left hand, while with the right it is again passedover the head and pulled down as before. (See cuts 43,44.) So repeat to the end of the cord, winding not very tightly. Always use care to bring it over the tongue so as not to tangle or bruise it.
