Mangatini Falls (Summer) on the Ngakawau River Gorge. The falls can be best viewed from the Charming Creek Track along the beautiful Ngakawau Gorge. The trach follows the route of an old railway track and passes through tunnels and by the remains of the mining in the area. It is said to be one of New Zealands must See waterfalls. A there and back walk takes about 2 hours with plenty of stops to take photographs and admire the stunning scenery. For the best views pass over the suspension bridge and through a 50 meter tunnel and to an area known as The Varandah.
