The scholarship is open for competition to all high andpreparatory school graduates west of the Allegheny Mountains, and the Club has sent seven students through the freshmanyear, and has been the means of inducing more than twice that number to choose Swarthmore. In this way all the principalhigh schools in the Middle West hear of Swarthmore every year, and the scholars carry her good name wherever they Western Swarthmore Club
