This regulator should be connected to the opening providedfor it on a steam boiler by means of a short nipple. This insuresperfect operation. To adjust this regulator, first connect the chains operatingthe draft doors as per standard practice. Then raise whateverpressure you desire to maintain at the boiler and set the weightaccordingly on the regulating lever. Do not disconnect thechains from the doors in regulating pressure.
