This is a real situation. Image not to be used in a defamatory context. Audiology test. Audiologist checking how much amplification a deaf or hard-of-hearing patient's hearing aid is providing. Called Real Ear Measures (REM), this test is measuring the natural response of the ear canal prior to seeing what additional amplification a hearing aid will provide. The graph shown here is labelled Real Ear Gain (REG). For the probe used, see images C014/0019 and C014/0020.
