The d’Amboise Gate (Greek: Πύλη ντ’Αμπουάζ), also known as the Gate of Amboise, is a grand gate just below the Palace of the Grand Master. A marble plaque over the gate depicts the relief of an angel holding the coat of arms of the Order of d'Amboise and the inscription of DAMBOYSE MDXII (1512), verticle slits (not pictured) aside the plaque indicate indicate there was once a draw bridge in front of the entry.
