The village of Vilaflor can be seen in the distance with clouds decending on the pine forest above. Vilaflor is the highest village in the Canary Islands. It stands at 1,160 metres altitude and has an abundant supply of natural spring water which is bottled and sold all over Tenerife. Vilaflor is situated on the volcanic slopes a few miles south of Teide National Park and is surrounded by pine forest.
