Early in his life, Jim professed faith in Christ andjoined the Bethel Baptist Church. In 1953, Jim movedhis membership to Friendship Baptist Church where heserved his Lord as deacon beginning in 1974. He alsoserved as chairman of the Board of Trustees for theAshe Baptist Association for several years. On March 31, 2002, Jim went home to be with his Lord. Although Jim is sorely missed by hisfamily and friends his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him forever!.
