List of Delegates elected to the Convention to form a gov-ernment for the people of the State of New Jersey, which metat Trenton, on May 14th, 1844, and continued to June 29th ofthe same year. The constitution was agreed to in conventionby a vote of 55 to 1 (Mr. Condit), Mr. Stokes being excusedfrom voting. It was ratified by the people on August 13th,1844, by a vote of 20,276 for, and 3,526 against, 69 ballots be-ing rejected. Tlie figures indicate the ages of tlie respectivemembei-s.
