The Veale / Savill garden, Royal Avenue gardens, Dartmouth, Devon. Commemorates Corporal Theodore Veale, a Dartmouth man awarded the Victoria Cross in July 1916 for rescuing a wounded officer, Lt Eric Savill. Savill later became a ranger at windsor Great Park and founded the National Magnolia Collection.
