Nelson's column in Trafalgar Square undergoing renovation work in 2006
Completed in 1843, Nelson's Column commemorates the victory of Nelson at the Battle of Trafalgar. The renovation work took place from April to July 2006. The cost of pounds 420,000 was borne by Zurich The work included repairs to stonework, proteection of bronze work with wax and pigeon proofing.
