He was educated in the public schoolsand was a pattern maker by trade. He wasa Republican in politics and a Methodist inreligion. He built the house in which he livedon Lafayette street, Bridgeport, for manyyears. He married, March 19, 1840, at Strat-ford, Catherine Ann Wheeler, born at Strat-ford, August 2. 1816. died at Bridgeport,November 10, 1874. Children: i.
