The birthplace of Robert Burns, an engraving from a book about Robert Burns published in 1805. The two roomed cottage was built by Robert’s father, William Burness in 1757. Burns was born there on 25 January 1759. It is now a museum. The engraving is entitled, "A Cottage near Kirk Alloway in Airshire – the Birth Place of Robt. Burns". This image is believed to be free of all copyright restrictions and may be used commercially.
