The Golden Wax has long been in popular favor, but this im-proved variety by far surpasses the old favorite in several desirablepoints. The plants are of vigorous, bushy growth, not susceptibleto rust, moderately early and very prolific. The pods are ex-ceedingly handsome, large, uniformly broad, thick, and almost allsolid flesh, of good quality, tender and brittle, absolutely withoutstring or coarse fibre at all stages until maturity, while the coloris of a rich goldqn-yellow. Although not the earliest dwarf waxbean, its reliability in producing a heavy crop of large handsomepods, whether sown in spring, summer or early fall, renders it highlyvaluable for market planting.
