South Bank, London, UK. 6th Sep 2018. The team at Bywaters love London’s waterways, but like you they are often disillusioned at the amount of litter strewn across them. On Thursday a considerable percentage of their workforce could be found of the Thames in Central London at low tide. They’d volunteered themselves into a beach cleanup operation. Staff, focussing on the smaller, finer plastics that would normally go unnoticed by a standard beach sweep, were finding cables ties, clothing tags and lighters, among other pollutants. Finding solutions to the plastics issue is one that is at the very core of their culture. As London’s leader in sustainable recycling solutions, they take pride in keeping our waterways healthy and clean of all plastics. Credit: Joshua Preston/Alamy Live News
