A breech-loading percussion pistol, Henri Rieger, Paris, circa 1870. Reblued fluted rifled barrel in mm calibre with gold and silver inlays. Dovetailed front sight. Stamped "ELG" on the side. The top of the barrel is inscribed, "MAISON LAFAUCHEUX. H REIMER RUE VIVIENNE. PARIS". Locking cam on the underside with hinged breech block which swings upward. Back action percussion lock. Walnut stock with checkered grips. Gold and silver inlaid iron furniture. The locking mechanism for the barrel is on the forearm. The trigger guard bears a (later?) Bavari,
