Memorial listing the inhabitants of Texel who died in the Second World War on either side of a bronze sculpture "De Goede Herder" – ‘The Good Shepherd’ by Mari Andriessen & Theo Mulder 1961. The sculpture plinth bears the inscription in Dutch ’ Even though I went to the valley, From the shadow of death, I would not fear any fear, For you are my shepherd.’
