C. Melchour, of NorthHolland; imported 1883 by her present owners, Messrs. Smiths,Powell & Lamb, Syracuse, N. Y. Lady Fay has a milk record of97 lbs. 5 oz. in one day, and 20,412 lbs. 3 oz. in one year, and abutter record of 19 lbs. 2^ oz. in seven days, making a pound ofbutter to lbs. of milk. She has had an eminently successfulshow-yard career, among her triumphs being the first prize in thedairy department at the Chicago Fat-Stock Show of November,1885. Sketched from life by Palmer.
