Slovenia, Srpenica near Bovec. Memorial cross dedicated to the countess Lucy Christalnigg. 10th August, 1914; Countess "Christalnigg von Oberstein" was on her way by car from Klagenfurt via Predil Pass to Gorizia as a Red-Cross-Committee-member of that time. In the near of Serpenizza some Austro-Hungarian Gendarms wanted to control her. She had got a governmental travel-permit and so did not stop. She was inadvertently shot at this place in the beautiful mountain-scenery.
