Boxing match for 200 guineas between Dutch Sam and Ben Medley, fought 31 May 1810 on Moulsey Hurst near Hampton. After a work by Thomas Rowlandson. Dutch Sam’s real name was Samuel Elias. He lived from 1775 - 1816. He was elected into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1997. Little is known about Ben Medley.
