The Domino Sugar Co. plant in Williamsburg, Brooklyn in New York on Sunday, April 18, 2010. The Refinery LLC, the developer of the site, opened the grounds to the community for the day. The real estate developer has hired Rafael Vi–oly Architects to design a reuse for the 125-year-old industrial complex which would be acres mixed-income residential and mixed-use development. Originally the Havemeyers and Elder Refinery, the earliest buildings date back to 1884 and was the largest refinery in continuous use until closing in 2004. (© Frances M. Roberts)
