The thermoelectric plant of Sermide.
The combined cycle plant has a gross installed capacity of 1,158 MW, is made up of two sections of around 385 and 773 MW, powered exclusively by natural gas. The plant is now equipped with a photovoltaic system, with a peak power of 998 kW. Between 2015 and 2016, interventions were implemented to "flexify" the sections, which allowed an improvement in the performance of the plant in order to better respond to the needs of the Italian electricity market. An intervention is currently underway to replace the hot parts of the gas turbines in the 773 MW section, with the aim of improving the efficiency and environmental performance of the entire installation.
