The Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles, also known as the French Community of Belgium, is one of the three federal communities in Belgium. It has jurisdiction over the French-speaking region of Wallonia and the bilingual Brussels-Capital region. This community's main responsibilities include areas such as Education, Culture, Sport, Youth Assistance, Scientific Research, and Legal Advice Centres. In 2011, the institution adopted the name "Wallonia-Brussels Federation" for communication purposes, although the Belgian constitution still refers to it as the French Community. The federation doesn't levy taxes directly; instead, it is funded through tax revenues collected by the federal authority. It has its own parliament, government, and public services to fulfill its duties.
