Limestone Pavement and Tree

On the moors above Malham Cove, North Yorkshire is a classic example of a limestone pavement called, Prior Rakes. Over time the weather has eroded the limestone to form channels called Glynts or Grikes. In this area your will also find lone hawthorn trees growing up through the limestone.
