An English ceramic, possibly porcelain, cream boat with relief floral decorations and blue transfer Chinese or Japanese vignette scenes. The piece is part of a tea set owned by Mary Ann Oldhaus, in England in 1759. It was brought to Illinois in 1856 by Katherine Shepherd, granddaughter of Mary Ann Oldhaus.
