The national convention of canners, machinery men and merchandise brokers of the United States will be held in Mil- waukee, in January, 1923, as a result of a meeting of representative hotel men of Milwaukee with merchandise brokers and canners of Wisconsin. D. G. Fkaser states that he has ac- quired the sole ownership of Robert G. Fraser & Son, Pasadena, Cal., the busi- ness name to be in future Fraser & Son; also that William E. Hayes, formerly on the Vanderbilt estate in the Adirondacks. has been appointed to have charge of the seed growing department. Gladiolus bulhs are selling rather un- expectedly well this year. The Classified ads in The Review make the market for the United States. Prices are made in accordance with what others are quoting there. Also, the little liner ads show how business is going. Early in the season there were more of these gladiolus bulb ads than ever before; now there are not so many as last year at this date. "Sold out,
