Boy David by Edward Bainbridge Copnall (1903 - 1973) Edward Bainbridge Copnall was the President of the Royal Society of British Sculptors in 1961-1966. His Boy David statue with the slain head of Goliath at his feet stands at the Chelsea Embankment near the Albert Bridge. The original Boy David statue, a smaller copy of the Machine Gun Corps memorial in Hyde Park Corner was stolen in 1963 and Copnall's version replaced it.
