Sculptor Colin Wilbourn (in blue) speaking at the opening of his sculpture "Stell" in 2006, Falstone, Northumberland, England UK
The work is based on a traditional Northumberland "Stell" or sheepfold, but bizarrely contains sculpted sofas and cushions with steel throws and a steel and concrete carpet, which feature designs pertaining to the area gleaned from the local residents. It is located next to the River North Tyne on the riverside walk, and in the summer serves as a pleasant place to stop and sit.
