20th August 1937. Vintage Black and white photograph showing the Istres-Damascus-Paris Air Race. It was organised by The Aero Club de France. The race had 22 entrants, but only 13 started the race, and 9 completed the course. The Italians Ranieri Cupini & Amadeo Paradisi won in their Savoia-Marchetti S-79 aeroplane. Photo shows two of the Italian Pilots walking through the crowd.
