Cultivated by Monsieur Du Pont, circa 1802, known since the reign of Louis XV (1710-1774) and named "Enfant de France" in honor of the Dauphin. Hand-colored, octavo-size stipple copperplate engraving from Pierre Joseph Redoute's "Les Roses" 1828.
