Buckle Shank 7th century Visigothic This is a buckle shanke, part of an ornate belt buckle It has sunk panels docorated with scrolls and leaves resembling bird or animal heads. It is fitted with two rings at one end for a buckle loop; five rings on back, three of which are broken. The cast copper alloy is possibly tinned. The spring or pin is Buckle Shank 33040
