They were forced to move to Tanga village because of the dam. His parents suffered particularly because here in Tanga there is no good land, and not enough potable water. He would like to grow vegetables but the soil is too hard and rocky. When they arrived the government gave them some maize and flour but this lasted less than one year. They had to build their own house with materials supplied, but were not able to upgrade their home as supplies were insufficient.
