Memorial to Ruth Bader Ginsburg (1933-2020) on the East steps of the Harvard Law School library at Langdell Hall, Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts USA. Ginsburg was one of nine women in a class of 500 when she enrolled at Harvard Law School in 1956. Ginsburg served as the first female member of the Harvard Law Review, but left Harvard after her husband Martin Ginsburg graduated Harvard Law and the couple moved to New York City. Ginsburg graduated first in her class from Columbia Law School in NYC in 1959. Harvard presented Ginsburg with an honorary law degree in 2011. Ginsburg was nominated to the Supreme Court in 1993 by President Bill Clinton and at the time of her death had served on the court for 27 years. Ginsburg died from complications from metastatic pancreatic cancer on September 18, 2020 in Washington
