ATLANTIC OCEAN (May 22, 2017) - Sonar Technician (Surface) 3rd Class Vanessa Diaz practices mechanical advantage control holds on Master-at-Arms 1st Class Shawn Beauchamp during a security reaction force course aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Carney (DDG 64) in the Atlantic Ocean May 22, 2017. Carney, forward-deployed to Rota, Spain, is conducting its third patrol in the 6th Fleet area of operations in support of national security interests in Europe.
