Plateosaurus dinosaur, illustration. This herbivorous dinosaur lived about 210 million years ago in the Late Triassic. It had five-fingered hands and a thumb claw that may have been used for collecting food or self defence. It grew to about 7 metres long and weighed up to 4 tonnes.
