The Keep, or central Donjon of Socoa Castle

The central keep or donjon of Socoa Fort, on a promontory to the North of the village. The fort is medieval, though it has been used for various purposes over the years, including by the Germans during WW2. Access is currently restricted. The building is a National Monument (Monument Historique).
